ACCIDENTS

1 Jan. 25, S. Colony Wy. at Geranium Ave.: Connie M. Rumfelt, 57, Wasilla, allegedly failed to yield to Colin J. Lamont, 33, Wasilla, causing a wreck. No injuries. Both vehicles were drivable.


Jan. 28, Glenn Hwy. and Marsh Rd.: A 2000 Ford sedan driven by Jennifer L. Allison, 36, hit a 2007 GMC Acadia driven by Kristen L. Grossnickle, 29, Palmer. No injuries. Allison cited. Grossnickle issued a summons for DWLR.

2 Jan. 31, Glenn Hwy. and Dogwood Ave.: Veda Kathleen Fay, 77, Chugiak, rear-ended a vehicle being driven by Brendon Karl Twitchell, 21, Palmer, who was stopped at a red light. No injuries.

DRUGS

Jan. 23: Jeremiah Wilkes, 22, Palmer, was arrested for marijuana possession, jailed, and later released on his own recognizance.

WARRANTS

Jan. 25: Lorann J. Caverly, 23, Palmer, arrested on $500 warrant for failure to appear in court on DWLS and violating a license restriction charges.

Jan. 26: Karl S. Roseblock Jr., 59, Houston, jailed on $250 warrant for violating probation on an assault charge.

VANDALISM

Jan. 28, 560 W. Arctic Ave.: A Palmer 37-year-old reported that the Latter-day Saints church had been hit by several paintballs.

THEFT

Jan. 26: A 33-year-old Palmer woman reported someone stole some of her medications.

Jan. 27: A 26-year-old Palmer woman reported someone went through her vehicle and took things. The vehicle was parked at her home at the time.

Jan. 27: A 19-year-old Palmer woman reported someone went through her vehicle and took things. The vehicle was parked at her home at the time.

ASSAULT

Jan. 27: A 26-year-old Palmer man was arrested for DV assault.

DUI

Jan. 25: Police stopped to check on the driver of a disabled vehicle. The driver, Steven Earl Sheibl, 52, Palmer, was charged with DUI and DWLR.

Jan. 31: Paul Brophy, 51, Anchorage, arrested for DUI. Bail: $500.

VIOLATING RELEASE CONDITIONS

Jan. 26: John Wagner, 23, Wasilla, allegedly wasn’t with his court-approved third party custodian. Charge: Violating release conditions. No bail set.

Jan. 28: Aaron Carl Mahan, 19, Palmer, arrested for DWLR. Bail: $200.

Jan. 30: John F. Caverly Jr., 24, Palmer, arrested for DWLS and violating release conditions. Bail: $500.

Jan. 26, 12:45 p.m., Apryl Dr.: Dustin J. Williams, 34, Big Lake, arrested on warrant for failure to report to prison to serve time on an assault charge. No bail set.

Jan. 27, 1:05 a.m., Mayflower Ln.: Troopers investigating a noise complaint arrested Angela B. Nelson, 19, Wasilla, on $100 warrant for failure to appear in court on an MCA charge.

Jan. 27, 2:46 p.m., Willow Ln.: Amber Jo Williamson, 28, Wasilla, arrested on $5,000 warrant for violating probation on a drug misconduct charge.

Jan. 28, 4 p.m., Palmer: James Carl Scott, 52, Palmer, arrested on a Texas warrant for leaving that state in violation of his parole or probation. Bail: $50,000.

3 Jan. 29, 11:35 a.m., Palmer Courthouse: Robert Michael Patrick Haney, 25, Big Lake, surrendered at the courthouse after learning of a warrant for his arrest for failure to report to serve prison time on disorderly conduct and assault charges. No bail.

Jan. 29, 12:25 p.m., Wasilla Home Depot: Keith W. Castleton, 47, Wasilla, arrested on warrant for failure to appear in court on a disorderly conduct charge. Bail: $500.

Jan. 30, 1:01 a.m., Wasilla: Jonathan Anderson, 44, Anchorage, arrested on $1,000 warrant for failure to satisfy alcohol screening and treatment requirements. Bail: $1,000.

Jan. 31, 12:15, Salmonberry St.: William L. Murray II, 30, Wasilla, arrested on $2,500 warrant for escape. Richard J. Brown, 24, Wasilla, was also arrested. Brown’s warrants: Failure to remand to serve prison time on a DWLR charge and failure to appear on a DWLR charge. No bail for Brown.

Jan. 27, 3:15 a.m., Parks Hwy. near Church Rd.: Joseph D. Palmer, 33, Wasilla, stopped for a moving violation. Charge: DUI. Bail: $2,500. Passenger Samuel S. Palmer, 30, Anchorage, had allegedly consumed alcohol while on probation for felony DUI. Charge: Probation violation. No bail.

Jan. 29, 3:13 p.m., Peck St. and McKee Ln.: Lori A. Monaghan, 51, Wasilla, stopped on a complaint from the public. Charges: DUI, DWLR. Bail: $2,500.

Jan. 30, 3:25 a.m., Parks Hwy. and Trunk Rd.: Thomas Herschbach, 47, Big Lake, stopped for a moving violation. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Jan. 30, 3:50 a.m., Wasilla: Quentin Campbell, 34, Charlemont, Mass., stopped for a moving violation. Charges: DUI, refusing a chemical test. Bail: $5,000.

Jan. 30, 4:15 a.m., Jerry Cir.: Terris L. Phelps, 24, Big Lake, stopped while troopers investigated a disturbance. Charges: DUI, assault, criminal mischief. No bail set.

Jan. 30, 9:11 p.m.: Albert F. Rothfuss VI, 43, Copper Center, drove into a snowbank near the Valley Country Store and was requesting assistance getting out. Charge: DUI. Bail: $5,000. Citation: Open container.

Jan. 31, 2:14 a.m., Beverly Lake Rd. and Sourdough Dr.: Troopers talked to a 16-year-old Wasilla boy who’d driven his Chevy pickup into the ditch. Charges: DUI, MOCA, MCA.

ACCIDENTS

Jan. 24, 8:38 p.m., Parks Hwy. near Hyer Rd.: Wendy L. Laux, 57, Wasilla, eastbound, lost control, drove into the median and flipped her vehicle on its side. Laux was hospitalized. Vehicle damage: $5,000.

Jan. 25, 3:04 p.m., Bogard Rd. and Helen Dr.: Joshua M. Mullenix, 21, Wasilla, making a left turn in a 1991 Chevrolet pickup, hit a 2002 Honda SUV being driven by Dylan G. Spargo, 18, Wasilla. Mullenix cited for not yielding and not wearing a seatbelt. Spargo was hospitalized, treated and released. Both vehicles were totaled.

Jan. 25, 4:23 p.m., Big Lake Rd. near the Big Lake Tesoro: Crystal L. Berry, 39, Wasilla, trying to get into the gas station parking lot in her 2005 Ford Focus, was rear-ended by Scott L. Cooper, 45, Houston, who was driving a 1987 Chevrolet pickup with a snowplow on it. No injuries. Cooper cited for not exercising due care and lacking proof of insurance.

Jan. 25, 6:05 p.m., Glenn Hwy. and Outer Springer Lp.: A 17-year-old Palmer girl was southbound in a 1998 Toyota Camry, trying to turn left, when Elizabeth Thornlow, 78, Palmer, tried to pass her on the right, clipping her vehicle. Damage to both vehicles: $3,000. No injuries. Thornlow cited for not exercising due care.

Jan. 26, 3:20 p.m., Glenn Hwy.: Danielle May Stachelrodt, 18, Palmer, turning north having just exited the Parks Hwy., lost control and landed on top of a guardrail. Citation: speeding. Vehicle damage: $2,000. Guardrail damage: $500.

DEATH INVESTIGATIONS

Jan. 26, 3:11 a.m., Harbor View Manor Hospice: James D. Milne, 83, Wasilla, found to have died of natural causes.

Jan. 31, 1:15 p.m., Wasilla: Ernestine Pierce, 89, Wasilla, found to have died of natural causes.

    " If you don't realize your limits than educate yourself. Buy a disposable breathalyzer test and learn how dangerous you are to others on the road. They are cheap and will let you know you are over the limit. Don't drink and drive. Don't kid yourself about just being tipsy. "
