And if you really want to make a point, don't start out your arguement by putting down one political party or another. Also, school is reallity. It is a place where childrens' eyes are opened up to the world and its diversity of opinion. Not everyone is going to agree with everything you have to say and the sooner children learn that, the better prepared they'll be. Show some respects for other peoples' opinions! "

That is your opinion. I, like many others, have a different opinion. And therein lies the real issue; it's not the job of a teacher or school to decide which moral path to take and then teach it to our kids. Their job is to teach writing, reading, arithmetic, history etc. and leave such things as lifestyle, religion etc to the parents. If you think homosexuality is OK...then so be it. YOU can teach that to your children, not the school. You end your post with "grow up", but this is hardly a maturity issue. "

You don't have to like it and you don't have to participate in it, but just like an atheist will show respect for a devout Christian, you do have to respect another human's right to live their life according to their faith. The spirit of this country is based on the "Pursuit of Happiness". A homosexual family can have just as much love and contribute just as much to society as any heterosexual couple. Grow up already. Granted that its not as bad up here. We just recently returned home to AK after living for the last several years in various locations in the lower 48. And yes, down there homosexuality was forced into sex ed classes via lawsuits and must be presented as an "alternative lifestyle". And if you don't want your kids to attend sex ed and such, you have to submit a written reason why to the Superintendant who can still veto your request (and notify CPS that they should do a home visit). "
