Gregory Allan Marshall

Gregory Allan Marshall passed away Nov. 8, 2009. He was 58.

Greg was born in Portland, Ore., on Aug. 1, 1951, to James Robert Marshall and Sabina Senger Marshall. He attended Holy Redeemer Catholic School and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1969. Activities included Cub Scouts, hockey, baseball, basketball, golf and motorcross into his 20s.

Greg especially loved animals, fishing, camping, hunting, music, playing guitar, basketball and baseball. He was a star hockey player with the PAHA Buckaroos, and he coached youth basketball, played on his own team and was the commissioner of the basketball association in Palmer. He also professionally refereed games for over a decade in Alaska and Oregon. An avid fan of the Portland Trailblazers since their beginning, he once shot 18 consecutive free throws during halftime at a game in 2001.


Family and friends will miss Greg’s kindness and love. He is survived by wife Sheila Marshall; daughter Jodi Marshall; son Bryan and his wife Stefanie and grandson Tyler Marshall; brothers Richard Borovicka and Mike Marshall; four step-children; five step-grandchildren; and many extended family. He passed at home as he wished with his wife and family Sunday, Nov 8.

A life tribute will be held Nov. 21 at 3 p.m. at the BPRD Community Room, 799 SW Columbia St, Bend, Ore.
