PREP STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Wasilla High School senior Jeff Frey has been named the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman Prep Student-Athlete of the Week.

At the Region III Championships swimming and diving meet at Skyview High School last Saturday, Frey earned most outstanding swimmer honors after breaking a pair of region records. Frey captured titles in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle events in record-breaking fashion and will represent the Warriors in the ASAA/First National Bank 4A State Championships at Bartlett High School on Friday and Saturday.

The Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman congratulates Frey on his success.
