PALMER POLICE DEPARTMENT

ACCIDENT

Oct. 26, Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and Glenn Hwy.: Terrence Bradley, 32, Palmer, and Kathryn Langill, 60, Wasilla, were in a wreck. Total damage: $3,000. No injuries.

Oct. 31, Arctic Ave. and Glenn Hwy.: A 15-year-old allegedly crossed the road on his bike on a red light and was hit by Paul Kelley Sr., 52, Wasilla. The teen had minor injuries.

THEFT

Oct. 26: A 28-year-old Wasilla woman reported her credit cards were stolen from her car and used at Fred Meyer.

Oct. 27, Carrs: Two 17-year-old Wasilla boys were allegedly caught shoplifting. Theft charges are being sent to Juvenile Justice.

Oct. 28: Brittany Jean Madison, 24, Wasilla, arrested on five counts of theft, four of fraudulent use of an access device and three of attempted fraudulent use of an access device. Bail: $20,000.

Oct. 31: Eileen F. Lawrence, 53, Palmer, reported her purse was taken the night before.

Nov. 1: A 42-year-old Palmer woman reported her purse was stolen over the weekend.

 

DWLS

Oct. 26: John. R. Flanagan III, 32, Wasilla, arrested for DWLS. Bail: $750.

Oct. 27: Stephanie Ann Burns, 28, Palmer, issued a summons for DWLS.

Oct. 30: Daniel Nelson II, 25, Copper Center, arrested for DWLS. Bail: $2,500.

WARRANTS

Oct. 28: Todd Roberson, 19, Palmer, arrested on $500 warrant for failure to appear on a NVOL charge.

Oct. 30: Joshua B. Dakutak, 26, Palmer, arrested on warrant for violating probation on two counts of assault and criminal mischief. New charge: marijuana possession.

DUI

Oct. 30: Robert Pardue, 36, Anchorage, arrested for DUI and DWLS. Bail: $2,500.

Oct. 31: Garret Bishop, 19, Palmer, arrested for DUI, MCA and MOCA. Bail: $500.

Oct. 31: Anthony Charles Kortas Jr., 36, Palmer, arrested for DUI. Bail: $500.

Nov. 1: Amanda Marie Martin, 31, Wasilla, arrested for DUI, DWLS, proving false information and on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a misuse of license plates charge. Bail: $1,500.

ASSAULT

Oct. 31: A 23-year-old Palmer man was arrested for DV assault and criminal mischief. No bail set.

DRUGS

Nov. 1: Eric Benjamin Moffitt, 39, Palmer, stopped for erratic driving. Summonses: marijuana possession, MIW V.

RUNAWAY

Nov. 1: A 13-year-old Palmer girl was reported as a runaway.

Oct. 30, 7:49 p.m., Big Lake: Jeremy Leroy Ickes, 37, Big Lake, arrested on two warrants for violating probation on a drug misconduct charge. Bail: $6,500.

Oct. 30, 12:30 p.m., Talkeetna: Jennifer Spain, 48, Talkeetna, arrested on $250 Anchorage warrant for failure to appear in court on a no insurance charge.

Oct. 31, 11:10 p.m., Porcupine Ave.: Glenn E. Hamilton III, 20, Wasilla, arrested on two warrants: one with original charges of theft and vehicle theft and one with the original charge of theft. Bail: $5,250.

Oct. 31, 7:49 p.m., S. McKechnie Lp.: Tina M. Papp, 36, Palmer, arrested at a disturbance on warrant with the original charge of issuing a bad check. Bail: $500.

Oct. 31, 10:55 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Pittman Rd.: John O. Rutherford Jr., 25, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation, arrested on warrant and for DWLS. Bail: $750.

Nov. 1, 2:25 a.m.: Juanita R. Polty, 39, Wasilla, arrested at a traffic stop on warrant for failure to appear on a theft charge. Bail: $1,000.

Nov. 1, 5:38 a.m., W. Shady Grove Dr.: Nicholas K. Jonas, 22, Wasilla, arrested on warrant for failure to appear on DWLS charge. Bail: $1,000.

Nov. 1, 9:34 a.m., Vine Rd. near Full Curl Dr.: Isaiah J. Keel, 28, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation, arrested on three warrants for failure to appear on DWLCSR charges. Bail: $2,500.

ACCIDENTS

Oct. 30, 5:20 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. at Seward-Meridian Pkwy.: A 17-year-old Wasilla boy was eastbound in a blue 2004 Ford Ranger, slowing for traffic, was rear-ended by another 17-year-old Wasilla boy driving a 1998 Ford F-150. No injuries. The teen in the F-150 was cited for following too close. Total damage: $6,000.

Oct. 31, 5:50 p.m., Mile 34.4 Glenn Hwy.: Elizabeth A. Baublits, 59, Palmer, driving a 1996 Ford Taurus, reportedly very erratically, hit multiple guardrails and came to rest just south of the Parks Hwy. She was hospitalized.

Oct. 31, 6:28 p.m., Plumley Rd. and Butte Rd.: Ann F. Nelson, 53, Palmer, eastbound in her 2009 Hyundai, hit a moose. No human injuries. Vehicle totaled.

DEATH INVESTIGATION

Oct. 31, 12:01 a.m., W. Limberlost Rd.: Calvin Wilkinson, 60, Wasilla, died. Foul play is not suspected.

Oct. 31, 7:05 a.m.: Elaine Niemi, 58, Wasilla, found to have died of natural causes.

Oct. 31, 9:31 a.m., Seldon Rd. and Catrina Dr.: Nikola N. Basargin, 35, Wasilla, stopped for speeding. Summons: DWLS. Citation: Speeding.

Nov. 1, 9:34 a.m., Vine Rd. near Full Curl Dr.: Justin J. Keel, 30, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation. Charge: DWLR. Bail: $250.

ASSAULT

Oct. 31, 2:19 a.m., Greenforest Dr.: Heather N. Welcome, 24, Wasilla, allegedly assaulted a family member. Charge: DV assault. No bail set.

Oct. 31: John E. Raymond Jr. allegedly assaulted a former girlfriend five days prior. Charge: DV assault. No bail set.

Nov. 1, 8:20 a.m., Wanda K. Cir.: Valance Barber, 48, Wasilla, allegedly threatened a family member with a rifle. Charge: DV assault. No bail set.

THEFT

Oct. 31, 9 p.m., Mile 73 Parks Hwy.: Troopers spotted a pickup carrying a sign that appeared to belong to a survey company. They stopped the pickup five miles later and arrested the driver, Thomas Kauffman, 21, Palmer, for theft.

NVOL

Oct. 31, 6:56 p.m., Mile 13 Talkeetna Spur: Clifford Barber, 20, Talkeetna, stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: NVOL.

DUI

Nov. 1, 1:54 a.m., Dellwood Ave. and Wesglenn St.: Thomas J. Crenshaw, 24, Wasilla, stopped for a moving violation. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Nov. 1, 4:38 a.m., Parks Hwy. and Big Lake Rd.: Jesse Ray Hugli-Blanchard, 20, stopped for erratic driving. Charges: DUI, MCA, MOCA. Bail: $500.

MCA

Nov. 1, 4:38 a.m., Parks Hwy. and Big Lake Rd.: Aerial Seltenreich, 18, issued a summons at a traffic stop for underage drinking.

WILDLIFE VIOLATIONS

Oct. 31: Steven Simpson, 39, Palmer, cited for purchasing a resident fishing or hunting license when he didn’t qualify.

Oct. 31: Ryan C. Moat, 23, Wasilla, cited for buying a resident hunting license when he didn’t qualify.
