Supports Kincaid, bylaw change I am writing to support Janet Kincaid for Matanuska Electric Association Board of Directors. Kincaid has been an active and vital part of our community for 50 years and was my neighbor when I resided on Palmer-Fishhook. She is a successful businesswoman responsible for the Valley Hotel and the Colony Inn. She actively supports the Salvation Army, the Valley Recycling Center, the Lions Club, the Palmer Chamber of Commerce and her local, state and federal Republican delegates and candidates. She always jokes that she knows everyone, and she just may be right. You’ve seen her around the Valley — ringing bells for the Salvation Army, collecting food for the less fortunate and generally giving back to her community. In fact, wherever there is a community volunteer opportunity, Kincaid is there. Community is the thing she values almost as much as her family and extended family. That’s why she is running for the MEA board. She sees a problem that needs to be solved and is willing to step up and get to work. It’s time to have a board that is open, honest and ethical. It’s time to have a board that listens to members and will openly discuss the future of power generation. It’s time to take back our co-op. Vote for Janet Kincaid for the MEA board and vote for the bylaw change. Matt Werderber Palmer |
